Dr. Geoffrey Arthurson
MBBS, DA (UK), Dip (Obst), RCOG
Dr Geoff Arthurson joined the practice in 1985.
He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1978 and undertook 3 years of surgical training and also training in Obstetrics and Paediatrics in Adelaide before undertaking training in Anaesthetics in the UK to enable himself to use all those skills in rural General Practice.
Geoff has a strong interest in IT and undertook some training through TAFE in this area. He was one of the first GPs in the Barossa and in Australia to embrace computers in General Practice.
Dr. Michael Hoopmann
MBBS, FRACGP, DRACOG
Born and raised in Adelaide, Michael worked in several Adelaide hospitals in various disciplines, before venturing to the country in 1984 to join the Nuriootpa Medical Centre.
His main interests lie in obstetrics, anaesthetics, sports medicine and limited surgery (caesarean sections, vasectomies, skin grafts and flaps). He has 4 adult daughters.
Outside interests include family, jogging, tennis and travel.
Dr. Dipak Rao
Dr Dipak Rao has had over 13 years of experience in general practice. He obtained his medical degree, MD(Physician) at SAINT PETERSBURG PAVLOV STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY in 2004, where he graduated in the top 5% off his class. He has worked in several hospitals, in multidisciplinary settings, seeing a wide range of medical conditions before moving into private practice.
He has extensive experience treating chronic health conditions such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Asthma and COPD, Paediatric general practice, and minor surgical procedures. He has had significant experience treating rarer tropical infectious diseases.
Dr Rao is multilingual and fluent in English, Russian and Tamil.
He loves good food and a good laugh, his hobbies include Cricket, Tennis, Travel and Cooking.
He and his wife have settled in the Barossa Valley.

Dr Monita Sharma gained her Medical qualification of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Dr. S.N. Medical College, India, in 2001. She brings with her more than a decade’s worth of experience practicing as a GP in Australia, Mauritius and India.
Dr Sharma takes keen interest and provides clinical services in Chronic Disease Management, Women’s and Children's health.
She enjoys working as a GP, caring for patients and their families, investing the time to get to know her patients, problem solving and delivering quality healthcare. She offers support and encouragement to all patients, working with them to achieve positive health outcomes.
Dr Sharma speaks fluent Hindi in addition to English.
