Dr. Geoffrey Arthurson
MBBS, DA (UK), Dip (Obst), RCOG
Dr Geoff Arthurson joined the practice in 1985.
He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1978 and undertook 3 years of surgical training and also training in Obstetrics and Paediatrics in Adelaide before undertaking training in Anaesthetics in the UK to enable himself to use all those skills in rural General Practice.
Geoff has a strong interest in IT and undertook some training through TAFE in this area. He was one of the first GPs in the Barossa and in Australia to embrace computers in General Practice.
Dr. Michael Hoopmann
MBBS, FRACGP, DRACOG
Born and raised in Adelaide, Michael worked in several Adelaide hospitals in various disciplines, before venturing to the country in 1984 to join the Nuriootpa Medical Centre.
His main interests lie in obstetrics, anaesthetics, sports medicine and limited surgery (caesarean sections, vasectomies, skin grafts and flaps). He has 4 adult daughters.
Outside interests include family, jogging, tennis and travel.
Dr. Abhishek Rana
I am a Registrar in GP training and a new member to the team. I graduated in year 2000 in India and worked in several New Delhi hospitals in various disciplines before training in Orthopaedics in 2005. I worked as Orthopaedics surgeon in New Delhi for 5 years before moving to Australia in 2013.
In Australia, I lived in metro and small country towns before settling in Adelaide. Tanunda was my first residence when I arrived in Australia where I learned a lot about the country and the life in Australia. I enjoy playing badminton, watching cricket, spending time with family and friends and travel. My special interest is excision of skin lesion besides general surgical procedures.
Dr. Binu Chandran
Dr. Binu Chandran is originally from Kerala (India) before moving to Australia several years ago. She has had experiences in working in different hospitals of Adelaide which includes General and Acute medicine, Emergency medicine (Adults & Paediatrics), Rehabilitation and Psychiatry. Completed Diploma in child health from Women’s and Children Hospital, Adelaide.
She loves all aspects of general medicine with special interests in: Women’s health. Child & adolescent health, Contraception, Dermatology and Mental Health. She does implanon insertion and removal, skin excisions and biopsies.
She takes great pride in her work helping patients with their health needs in a collaborative manner and always seeks to maintain positive, respectful relationships.
Outside or work, she loves spending time with her young family and travelling.
Dr. Jane Collins
Dr Jane Collins is a graduate of the University of Queensland (MBBS 1989), and holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In a career spanning over 30 years, she has worked as a military medical officer (including overseas deployments), in humanitarian roles, in rural general practice on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, and in busy urban medical centres. Her special practice interests include mental health (she is currently completing a Masters in Counselling through Torrens University), all aspects of women’s health including antenatal care, paediatrics (child health), and nutrition and wellness, and she is very active in supporting military veterans. She holds a Diploma in Child Health (University of Sydney) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Medicine (Swinburne University). Jane’s clinical focus is to ensure the best outcomes for her patients through active listening and helping to create together positive physical and mental health planning.
Dr. Lisa Li
Dr Lisa Peng Li had been working in a hospital as a geriatrician in China before moving to Adelaide in 2012. She then became a general practitioner working at clinics in the northern suburb of Adelaide.
Lisa is interested in all areas of general practice. She has been accredited in Mirena insertion and removal, Implanon insertion and removal, antenatal shared care, skin cancer check-up, skin lesion biopsy and excision, a HBV prescriber for patients with chronic hepatitis B infection and a provider of GP Focussed Psychological Strategies for patients with mental health issues.
She has two children, enjoying spending time with her family, travelling and playing tennis.
